Beach clean-up to fight plastic pollution

Video: Mark Zammit Cordina

In a bid to significantly reduce plastic pollution in the environment by supporting and funding targeted solutions, Ocean Mysteries Diving and Sharklab-Malta this morning organised a beach and underwater clean-up in aid of Plastic Oceans Foundation.

David Jones from Plastic Oceans joined Ocean Mysteries and Sharklab for the clean-up to raise awareness about the need to resolve what is fast becoming a major threat to the environment and human health.

Plastic Oceans believes that Malta is ideally placed to take the lead in the fight against plastic pollution, setting a standard that all other Mediterranean countries can aspire to achieve.
