The Marsascala Family Park will be reopened within a matter of days, Environment Minister Leo Brincat confirmed yesterday.

Answering questions by Times of Malta, Mr Brincat said the park had not been temporarily closed down as an act of “revenge”, as the Nationalist Party had claimed.

The park was closed on the recommendation of scientist Edward Mallia after the planning authority’s Żejtun air quality station recorded higher than usual levels of sulphur dioxide on at least two occasions.
