PSY has scored two world records: for the most viewed video online in 24 hours with Gentleman and the most “liked” video online for his legendary Gangnam Style.

Taylor Swift has got one over on ex-boyfriend Harry Styles by clocking up two new entries in the Guinness World Records book – while his band One Direction achieved only one.

US star Swift and Styles dated briefly before splitting in January and she has made barbed suggestions that her hit I Knew You Were Trouble was “inspired” by him, most recently at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.

One Direction’s new inclusion is for highest debut by a UK group on the US singles chart, with Live While We’re Young charting at number three last year.

Doctor Who, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, is recognised as the longest-running science fiction TV series. By May of this year there had been 798 episodes.
