Fashion fans will be able to buy the latest designs straight from the catwalk when shows are live-streamed around the world later this year.

Models will take to the runway during Digital Fashion Week in Singapore and the event will be transmitted across the globe with help from Google, You Tube and Twitter.

Audiences will be able to make purchases via the Asos fashion site while watching the live shows online, organisers said.

Digital Fashion Week – in its second year – has collaborated with the British Council for the four-day event which celebrates the link between British and Singaporean fashion.

Antony Phillipson, the British High Commissioner to Singapore, said: “We’re very pleased to support Digital Fashion Week in their efforts to encourage home-grown designers, many of whom studied or took up internships in the UK before launching their own brands in Singapore.

“This event is, therefore, both a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the strength of the UK/Singapore fashion partnership and a fabulous stage for some of the most exciting designers in the world.”

The names of British models and designers expected to contribute will be announced before the event which runs from November 1-4.
