Updated 6am Wednesday.

A group of 115 migrants was brought to Malta last night.

The immigrants - 102 men and 13 women, were rescued from a dinghy by a patrol boat of the Armed Forces of Malta.

The dinghy was located 90 miles off Malta on Monday. The AFM monitored it and a tug boat called Lega Nord was told by the Malta Rescue Centre to stay near the dinghy until a patrol boat arrived. The patrol boat arrived yesterday afternoon and the migrants were eventually transferred to it and brought to Malta at 1am.

This was the second group arrival in 24 hours. The first group, of 84 was brought to Malta yesterday morning after being picked up from a dinghy south of Malta.
