When the Federation for Hunting and Conservation – Malta (FKNK) was alerted that a flock of flamingos were sighted over Malta, the FKNK immediately informed the ALE section of the police.

The FKNK was happy to note the immediate response of the ALE, whose officers even watched over the birds while they roosted through the night. The FKNK appeals to its members and to the public to immediately report any illegalities that may be witnessed regarding protected wild bird species. Genuine reports are to be made direct to the police on telephone numbers 112 or 2122 4001.
