Nescafé Malta has helped Żabbar local council in rolling out the world’s longest dinner table and making it to the Guinness Book of Records.

On July 27, a 359.7-metre-long table was set up in Sanctuary Street, breaking the record for the world’s single longest table made using one continuous tabletop.

Dubai held the previous world record for the longest table, which stood at 315 metres.

Organised as part of the build-up for this year’s Our Lady of Grace feast in September, the feat was achieved with the participation of over 900 guests who sat down at the table for dinner.

The idea for the record-breaking event was conceived by the Żabbar local council’s cultural action team.

Nescafé Malta set up a display on location and offered guests a range of flavours of coffee. A token of appreciation consisting of a limited edition of 75th anniversary red mugs was also presented to a number of guests.
