Gordon Grixti Fino, a former teacher at St Patrick's Salesian School, has filed a judicial protest against Franco Masini, a chairman of the Industrial Tribunal, calling on him to abstain from hearing a case of unfair dismissal.

In his protest, Mr Grixti Fino said that Mr Masini had twice turned down requests to withdraw from the case. He said he did not have confidence in Mr Masini as chairman of the tribunal.

In a decree before the tribunal, Mr Masini had said Mr Grixti Fino had made unfounded allegations and showed serious lack of respect to him as chairman. He saw no reason to justify abstaining from the case.

In the judicial protest, Mr Grixti Fino said the decree was further reason why Mr Masini should withdraw.
