Sport, healthy lifestyles and cultural and religious diversity were the main themes of a youth exchange recently held between a group of 21 young people from St Theresa College called Team (Together Everyone Achieves More) and another group from Brussels, Belgium, aged between 13 and 17.

The week’s programme included various team-building exercises, games, sport, life skills, heritage trails, treasure hunts, orienteering and cultural visits to Valletta, Mdina, Ħagar Qim and Gozo. The youngsters made new friendships and got to know about each other’s cultural and religious diversity while having fun in a healthy environment.

The informal environment of the Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Centre further enhanced the friendly atmosphere among the young participants, who, guided by youth workers, shared their experiences that widen their European cultural perspective.

The youth exchange was made possible by EU funds granted through the EU Programmes Agency.
