Two teachers and eight students from Stella Maris College in Gzira were placed second in a European Consumer Classroom inter-school competition.

A total of 48 projects from 12 European countries were submitted. Classes were invited to prepare a video, poster or image using digital devices to illustrate a sustainability campaign with the slogan “Be smart – Be green” or “Be responsible – Save natural resources!” or an advertisement on the benefits of recycling under the title “Think global, act local”.

The Maltese students were aged 11 to 13. The team submitted a three-minute video presenting different environmentally-friendly measures implemented at the the school.
