The crushed remains of a car are recovered from Chesapeake Bay in the United States.
Incredibly its driver, a 22-year-old woman, survived the 40-foot plunge into the bay when her car was hit by a tractor-trailer and forced off of the bridge.
Clearly in a state of shock and exhaustion, the woman rests on some rocks as people call to her from the bridge.
She managed to escape the car and swim to safety. There was no one else in the car.
The woman has been released from hospital and is in a good condition.
