As the European Parliament called on the European Commission to encourage the use of LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) as a greener alternative to petrol, Muscats Motors, an established automotive company in Malta and part of the Mizzi Organisation, have responded promptly to their environmental responsibility by announcing they are now fully operational in LPGvehicle conversions.

LPG is reported to have over seven million users in Europe alone, with Malta somewhat lacking behind in this more environmentally friendly fuel.

Muscats Motors Business Development Manager David Mowles, a Certified Automotive Engineer, said “LPG is vital toan Island like Malta, with overhalf the population on the roads. It is important that everyone takes the necessary responsibility andprecautions to protect theenvironment.”

However, taking care of your carbon footprint is not the only benefit of LPG, as it is much cheaper than petrol, with the current selling price in Malta at 73 cents per litre, that’s currently half the price of petrol.

Converting to LPG means that your vehicle now becomes a dual fuel vehicle, retaining the petrol capability (at the flick of a switch), and therefore extending the overall driving range.

Muscats Motors Technicians are fully trained and MRA (Malta Resources Authority) certified at their garage in Gzira, using the latest state-of-the-art LPG equipment from OMVL Italy, a leading player in the alternative fuel vehicles sector, designing, manufacturing and marketing complete fuelling systems for the conversion of engines from petrol to LPG.
