The University’s Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Pharmaceutical Technology course is aimed at students with an A level in Chemistry who wish to pursue a science-based career and wish to work in the pharmaceutical industry.

The course combines scientific aspects critical in the development and manufacture of new drugs, handling of medicines and medical devices.

Besides providing students with a solid theoretical foundation, students also gain practice in the pharmaceutical industry through an eight-week internship.

Graduates may work as scientists and researchers in the pharmaceutical industry and in pharmaceutical and healthcare organisations. In areas such as quality assurance and control, production, regulatory affairs, medicine wholesaleing and drug distribution, within the government pharmaceutical services and as medical representatives.
