Bank of Valletta has announced a limited offer linked to American Express Platinum Cards.
“We are delighted to announce that all customers applying for the American Express Platinum Card will benefit from 50 per cent discount on the annual card membership fee for the first year, effect-ively translating into a saving of €275,” said John Pace, Executive Head Cards Business.
The offer is applicable on American Express Platinum Cards applications received up to August 30, 2013.
Besides giving hotel and travel benefits, American Express Charge Cards have no pre-set spending limit. One must repay the full balance at the end of each month. American Express Cards are accepted by over 800,000 ATMs worldwide.
Engel & Völkers opens in Barcelona
The Engel & Völkers Group has opened the doors to its first Metropolitan Market Center (MMC) in Barcelona, with 700 square metres dedicated to the brokerage of premium residential property and commercial real estate.
Engel & Völkers, whose partner in Malta is Sara Grech Real Estate, is planning to open MMCs in other metropolises around the world.

Agenda outlet at MIA refurbished
The Agenda Bookshop outlet at the Check-In Hall at Malta International Airport was recently refurbished and enlarged.
The project was carried out by the Miller Group – owners of the ‘Agenda Bookshop’ and ‘8 Till Late Convenience’ chain of outlets – together with Malta Airport’s Retail & Property Department.
Miller Retail’s relationship with the airport spans some 15 years.
Sparkle open Gżira outlet
Sparkle Image has opened a second outlet, in Sliema Road, Gzira.
Sparkle Image opened the first supermarket in Malta dedicated solely to detergents and toiletries.
