The government will be taking some Cabinet meetings out of Castille and into different localities, the head of communications at the Office of the Prime Minister, Kurt Farrugia, said this afternoon.

He told journalists that the next Cabinet meeting on Tuesday will be held at Marsaxlokk, and will include the participation of the Marsaxlokk council and the mayors of the surrounding areas.

Mr Farrugia was giving the press a round-up of the public consultation meetings Gvern li Jisma.

These were attended by 3,200 people and complaints and suggestions were still being received on e-mail opm@gov.mt.

A total of 30 hours of meetings were held with the Prime Minister, and 22 Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries.

The meetings with the education and family ministers attracted the largest audience.

"These meetings were an electoral promise and will be held every six months,” Mr Farrugia said.
