A group of lucky children will have their faces beamed across Italy at the end of September after taking part in a shoe company’s advertisement.

Dressed in winter clothing despite the heat, the 35 youngsters danced and ran around the University of Malta campus on Sunday under the direction of Luca Lucini.

The shoe company Geox and Italian production company Chocolat teamed up with Maltafilm to shoot the advert, which showcases the autumn/winter kids’ collection.

Maltafilm – a local production company involved in international commercials shot on the island – was behind the shoot. About 70 children had auditioned for the chance to take part.

“This is the second time we are working for this highly reputed brand in Malta. In March we shot the campaign for the spring/summer 2013 women’s collection,” Maltafilm director Joshua Cassar Gaspar said.

He added that Malta worked very well in terms of locations, production value from crew, industry standard equipment and on-screen talent.
