Further to the well-attended lecture about the garden of Villa Frere, Pietà on June 13 organised by Din l-Art Ħelwa and kindly hosted by Malta Enterprise, an movement has now been launched to ensure the preservation of what remains of this threatened national gem.

The Friends of Villa Frere also aims at creating more awareness about the great historical and architectural significance of this site. An ad hoc committee has been set up presided over by Peter Vassallo, Josephine Tyndale-Biscoe as vice-president and the undersigned as secretary, together with a growing number of members.

Those interested in helping this cause in any way are invited to contact the Friends on villafrere@gmail.com or call on 2132 0520.
