C. Fino + Sons Ltd recently organised a design thinking party, in collaboration with Veneta Cucine and Mcast.
Mcast students exhibited their design concepts to over 100 architects, designers and real estate professionals, who had the chance to vote for their preferred project.
The Fino panel consisted of six judges: Francesco Dell’Agnello, representing Veneta Cucine; Adrian Micallef, a freelance designer; Mcast director Stephen Vella; Dino Fino, commercial director of C. Fino + Sons Ltd; and two Fino employees.
This event gave numerous guests the chance to network and exchange ideas. Mr Fino, together with Mr Dell’Agnello and Mr Vella, presented awards to the best three design concepts. These were by Christine Ellul and Kirsten Camilleri who placed first, followed by Rachel Cini and Naomi Agius, who placed second, and Maria Bezzina and Chiara Darmanin, who placed third.
The winners will be awarded a trip to Treviso, Italy, including accomodation, together with a short internship at the design office of Veneta Cucine.
This initiative encourages local talent and offers opportunities for new designers.
Mr Fino said the company intended to continue organising such events in collaboration with Mcast and Veneta Cucine.
