Two people were injured in a collision between a car and an Arriva bendy-bus on the Coast Road yesterday afternoon.

The accident took place at 4.20pm between a Volkswagen Golf, driven by a 21-year-old man from Mosta, and the route bus, driven by a 41-year-old man from Luqa.

The Volkswagen driver and a 60-year-old female bus passenger from St Julian’s were taken to hospital for treatment. The police said they were not in critical condition.

The two vehicles collided at the junction leading to Magħtab. The road was closed to traffic for some time.
