Britannia Tours won Slovenia’s Tourism Ambassador Award for its contribution in the promotion of the country as a tourist destination. This came as a very pleasant unexpected surprise for Noel Farrugia, managing director, when the award was presented to him by Mateja Golja, a representative from Slovenian tourist board, on the last day of the Amitex fair held recently at MFCC.

The Ambassador of the Slovenian Tourism award was launched six years ago and is organised by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, the Directorate of Tourism and Internationalisation, and the public agency SPIRIT Slovenia, the Slovenian Tourist Board.

The entrants are nominated by Slovenian tourism professionals and adjudicated by an independent panel of judges appointed from leading organisations in the tourism industry in Slovenia, including a senior representative from the Ministry of Tourism.
