The Nationalist Party this morning denied that the Family Park in Marsascala was built in a hurry or that the animals there and at Ta' Qali Petting Farm lacked shelter from the sun.
In a statement in reply to a government statement issued yesterday, the party said the facilities for the animals were built according to the specifications established by the authorities, including a vet.
It said that if Parliamentary Secretary Roderick Galdes lacked the funds to properly administer the two facilities, he should not try to drum up excuses to blame the former government.
Mr Galdes's secretariat said yesterday thats ome animals had been temporarily transferred to Ghammieri, and more shelters would be built at the Family Park.
