Pope Francis last Sunday blessed thousands of Harley-Davidson motorcycles and riders to the celebratory roar of V-Twin engines as he rode through the crowd in Vatican City.

Harley-Davidson fans from all over the world took part in the Pontiff’s Sunday ceremonies as part of Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebrations in Rome.

A number of Maltese riders, members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Malta Chapter, also attended this event.

“Our promise to our customers is to offer them once-in-a-lifetime experiences few other brands can fulfil,” said Mark-Hans Richer, chief marketing officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company.

“Having our customers treated to the blessing today fulfills that promise of epic adventures.”

During the Mass, Pope Francis thanked everyone for participating.

The four-day celebration drew to a close with music and entertainment at the port of Ostia.

The event marks the European leg of Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary, a year-long series of global celebrations spanning 11 countries in six continents, culminating in the company’s hometown of Milwaukee in the last weekend in August.
