The off-road Team Small Spider Malta have just registered their second consecutive win in the Italian cham-pionship after winning the X-Series Trophy.

Alan Zahra and Jonathan Camilleri were competitive for the entire series in Fondachelli Fantina, Messina. They won six sections out of seven in a tough offroad circuit to secure their win.

The X-Series Trophy is held mainly in Sicily and southern Italy.

Competition is open to international participants and is spread over five events between March and November.

Thanks to their latest success, Team Small Spider Malta increased their lead in the championship standings to seven points. They now have 28 points with second-placed Team Grontek, of Italy, on 21.

There will be no X-Series Trophy races in summer. Competition resumes in Reggio Calabria, in October.
