ATTARD. On June 18, VIRGINIA (GINA) née Bugeja, aged 87, widow of Joseph Paul, passed  away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children, Corinne and her husband Charles, Richard and his wife Tania, Steven and and his wife Carmen, Marice and her husband Ray, her grandchildren Nadine and her husband Karl, Karl and his wife Luisa, Nikki, Pippa, Julienne, Zack, Emma, Sara, and her great grandchildren, her sisters Rose Sapienza, Lina Mamo, her bothers Paul and his wife Maria, Andrew and Anthony, her in-laws Maryrose and Bill, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday at 8.30am for the Immaculate Conception parish church, Ta’ l-Ibrag, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and carers at Roseville. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BUTTIGIEG. On June 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, Emanuel (Leslie) of Valletta, residing in San Ġwann, aged 63, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his great loss his loving wife Diana, née Zammit, his son Adrian and his wife Chantelle and his daughter Daniela and her husband Andrew Kelly, his brother Dennis and his wife Carmen and his sister-in-law Marlene Buttigieg, his nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

CASTILLO. On June 18, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, VIVIENNE, aged 69, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her siblings Claudia, wife of Mario Corrieri, Angela Aspell, Albert and his wife Vivienne, Bertha, wife of Tonio Ellul, Rosaire Camilleri, Theresa, wife of Adrian Pace Bardon, Stanley and his wife Jane, Anthony and his wife Carmen, Barbara, wife of Christopher Laferla, her numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2pm for the Annunciation parish church, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. It is regretted that the family is unable to receive visitors. Any donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be appreciated. ‘The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.’

MARTIN. On June 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 95, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters Blanche, Doris and her husband Dr Alexander Cachia Zammit, May, Theresa Muscat-Fenech, his sisters-in-law Rose Martin and Connie Martin, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, St Julian’s, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, would be appreciated. A prayer is kindly solicited. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

ZAHRA. On June 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Doris, Charlie, Lorraine, widow of Mario, Miriam, Victoria, MaryRose and Joe, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Karmena, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 7.30am for St Julian’s parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.15am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
