A Roman villa being excavated by University archaeologists in Żejtun and using sound waves to kill the bacteria off food are just some of the stories covered in the latest edition of the University’s research magazine Think, that is now available for free at all newsagents and online.
This issue also has some useful career tips from Malta’s great achievers, and is full of bright ideas from University students.
The magazine also features articles on an interactive maritime centre in Dwejra for all the family to enjoy; on several EU-funded projects monitoring Maltese seas; on student research into bat protection; better implants; depression; and new ways to treat Maltese stone. Several University academics are also interviewed about the Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) programme for research networking and the possibility of launching Malta’s name into space.
