Go customers can now pay their bills or top up their mobile credit from one of the Maltapay payment kiosks situated in various localities across Malta.
The Maltapay one-stop payment kiosk is the brainchild of Vera Boyajyan and the first project of her Malta-based company – Mobile Systems – set up some five years ago. The company hopes to expand its network to other European countries.
Maltapay kiosks are user-friendly and very practical. To top up their phones, customers should press the mobile icon and then select Go from the range visible on the screen, enter their mobile number and then press ‘next’, insert coins (or notes) and then collect the receipt.
The mobile phone is automatically topped up to the full amount paid and an SMS is sent within a few minutes confirming the top-up.
To settle bills, Go customers just need to select the service they require, press the icon from the list on the screen and then follow the simple on-screen instructions.
Customers need to have their bill with them to scan the barcode as part of the payment procedure.
Paying bills involves a service charge of €0.40 over and above the actual amount of the bill itself.
