A course entitled 2D and 3D AutoCAD Modelling – From Drawings to Rapid Prototyping Models, starts on July 9, organised by the University’s Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with Malta University Consulting Ltd.
The course tutor is Philip Farrugia, a lecturer at the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
The course, which consists of 10 sessions of three hours each, will be held at the Faculty’s CAD/CAM Systems Laboratory. It is suitable for staff working in areas such as architecture, interior design, product design, building services and manufacturing, who are seeking to acquire skills in basic 2D and 3D modelling features of AutoCAD.
This course will prepare participants for the ECDL/ICDL Module 8 – 2D Computer-Aided Design. It will also equip them with skills on how to create professional 2D drawings and provide them with the foundations to create 3D models, as well as exposing participants to rapid prototyping technology available at the University.
