Smart City Malta will once again be sponsoring the E-Journalism category of the 23rd edition of the Malta Journalism Awards. The sponsorship was presented during the recent announcement of the finalists at Smart City Malta – the first time that award-organisers Institute of Maltese Journalists sought support for key milestones of the awards.

Commenting about the awards, Smart City CEO, Abdullatif AlMulla said: “E-Journalism plays a very important role in the media industry as in today’s fast-paced world, news needs to be published accurately, fast and made accessible to online readers. This award rewards those journalists and writers who contribute to Maltese news-based websites which are becoming an increasingly important source of news for Maltese citizens.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at The Palace, Sliema on Saturday.
