I am accruing enemies left, right and centre because of mistaken identity with another (at least one, but possibly more) contributors to this newspaper’s online website signing Joseph Aquilina.

Indeed, this is resulting in damage to my good name and reputation and, recently, in one serious matter this has resulted in actual grave material damage to me and only time will tell if I can manage to reverse this damage.

Of course, I do acknowledge the right of this/these other namesake/s to express whatever opinions he/they deem/s fit to publish.

However, for the future, I feel that perhaps timesofmalta.com may wish to institute some additional identification safeguard, such as publication of the writer’s identity card number.

For the record, my infrequent contributions to the press are always signed Joseph R. Aquilina or Joseph Raymond Aquilina.
