Italy completed their Confederations Cup preparations with a disappointing 2-2 draw against Haiti in a friendly in Rio de Janeiro last night. Emanuele Giaccherini took just 19 seconds to put Italy ahead with a close-range volley. The Italians looked to have sealed the win after the break when Stephan El Sharaawy saw his effort blocked by goalkeeper Montrevil but Claudio Marchisio bundled home the rebound. But Haiti refused to lie down and pulled a goal back through a Olrish Saurel penalty before Jean Philippe Peguero struck the equaliser in time added on.
