Malta Music Week events

G7 Events in collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority presents the Malta Music Week 2013 featuring the Isle of MTV concert from Friday, June 21, to Sunday, June 26.

In the days leading up to the Isle of MTV concert, Malta will be hosting the Malta Music Week, a series of club nights featuring international DJs and artists.

Friday, June 21

G7 Fridays at Gianpula

Featuring special guest Christian Burns performing smash hits In the Dark by Tiesto, The Light Between Us by Armin Van Buuren and As We Collide by Paul Oakenfold and Jes. Line-up includes Malta’s top local DJs Tony Tony, Pierre Cordina and JJoy.

Saturday, June 22

Example and DJ Wire live at Numero Uno. Also featuring Tom Swoon plus various top local DJs

British chart dance artist Example turned massive after the release of his second studio album, Won’t Go Quietly. His next release debuted at No. 1 in the UK album charts and spawned two No. 1 singles. Example will be performing his massive club anthems Kickstarts, Changed the Way You Kiss Me, Midnight Run and We’ll be Coming Back by Calvin Harris.

Tom Swoon has made major leaps forward in the world of electronic dance music. Although quite new to the scene, his productions and remixes would make you believe he’s been doing it for years.

Wednesday, June 26

Isle of MTV, the Granaries, Floriana, featuring Jessie J, Rita Ora and Rudimental. Free entrance

Isle of MTV is now in its seventh year and has become one of the must-attend music events of the summer calendar, attracting fans from all over Europe to party on the stunning Granaries in Floriana. A mixture of the live performance and location sets will be filmed and broadcast as a 60-minute special across MTV’s channels and platforms around the world.

Isle of MTV has built a reputation for showcasing some of the biggest names in international music. The annual music extravaganza has seen global acts such as Will.i.am, Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, David Guetta, The Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO perform in Malta in front of an audience of more than 50,000 fans.

Jessie J
