This summer, Masquerade will be offering exciting, high-energy workshops in the performing arts. These will take place at M Space, Malta’s new hub for the performing arts in Msida (opposite Junior College).
Classes will run for seven weeks between July 8 and September 6, twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, with a break for two weeks in August. Workshops are open to participants from age 14 years plus and adults, with different sessions for complete beginners and also those with experience. Students will be divided according to age and experience to get the full benefit from the experience.
Masquerade’s summer workshops will consist of weekly sessions in acting (drama exercises, voice, mime, audition technique, script work, characterisation), dance (warm-ups, jazz, street/hip hop) and singing (warm-ups, voice exercises, harmonies). Workshops are designed to be great fun and creatively rewarding. All workshops will be led by qualified and experienced tutors with industry experience, with a number of foreign guest tutors leading some of the sessions. At the end of the programme, students will be given the option to participate in a short presentation to be held at Masquerade’s own theatre space, Blue Box.
If you wish to learn new skills or polish your technique, or just give performing arts a go, then look no further. Call Masquerade on 2124 6619 or 7979 3737 for full details.
