Activities commemorating the 125th anniversary when the Citadel and Rabat were declared a city and renamed Victoria will come to an end this month with a number of activities organised by the Victoria council.

Tomorrow, Victoria Day, a thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at St Augustine’s church, Victoria, at 6.30pm, followed by the presentation of the Gieħ il-Belt Victoria awards at the National Library at 7.30pm.

On Wednesday, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will take part in the inauguartion concert of the 16th edition of the Victoria International Arts Festival at St George’s Basilica, Victoria, at 8pm.

On Saturday, Independence Square, Victoria, will host Leone Goes Pop, a music concert by the Leone Band, under the direction of Mro Colin Attard, at 9pm.
