• The feast of St Anthony of Padua is being celebrated by the Franciscan Friars in Għajnsielem today. Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Pontifical Mass at 8.30am, followed by the blessing and distribution of bread. The procession will leave the church at 7.30pm, accompanied by the St Joseph Band of Għajnsielem. The Ite Ad Joseph Band of Qala and the Mnarja Band of Nadur will also take part. On Wednesday, the liturgical feast of St Anthony, Għajnsielem archpriest Can. Frankie Bajada will lead a concelebrated Mass, also in Għajnsielem, at 7pm.

• Fredu l-Fra 2 by Sam Delceppo will be staged at the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre, Victoria, today at 6pm. Booking is open at the Don Bosco Oratory. Tel: 2155 6616 or 9948 7751.

• The annual school exhibition by the Wistin Camilleri Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts in Għajnsielem is open at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria until June 23 from 8am to 5pm, excluding weekends and public holidays.

• A life drawings exhibition, entitled A Touch of Life, by Graham Gurr, is on at art... e Gallery at One, Library Street, Victoria. It is open all day, including Sundays, from 9.30am to 12.15pm.

• Fiori d’Argenta, a festival of culture, history, drama and traditions, will take place on Friday, Saturday and next Sunday in Xewkija. Organised by Xewkija council, the festival will be held at St John the Baptist Square and the surrounding areas.

On Friday evening, there will be the traditional dinner by the Fireworks Committee, featuring entertainment by Cash & Band. Historical sites will be open to the public from Friday to Sunday. Visitors will be able to share a portion from a large Torta tal-Bajtar ta’ San Ġwann (fig pie), to be baked on Saturday

• The Don Bosco summer club will be held between July 5 and September 2. Children aged four to13 can apply. Application forms can be obtained from the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, or downloaded from donboscogozo.org.

• The Gozo CCU Foundation will present a concert, Under the Stars, at Ta’ Frenċ on July 7. For more information, call on 2156 6496.
