Since its launch, Bio-Oil has become a household name, used by people worldwide for scars, stretch marks, ageing and dehydrated skin and uneven skin tone.
The Bio-Oil formulation combines vitamins A and E with calendula, lavender, rosemary and chamomile oils, and PurCellin Oil, unique to Bio-Oil, to ensure they are easily absorbed into the skin.
PurCellin Oil dramatically lowers the viscosity of the formulation to create a ‘dry’ oil which is non-greasy. Vitamin A helps improve the skin’s elasticity, texture and tone. Vitamin E is a widely used antioxidant in skincare products to increase the moisture content of the epidermis, making the skin softer, smoother and more supple.
Calendula oil, more commonly referred to as marigold, is a natural antioxidant and has the ability to clarify and stimu-late growth of new skin cells. Lavender oil has calming and soothing benefits.
Rosemary oil helps to invigorate and has a mild antiseptic capability, thus easing congestion, puffiness and swelling of the skin. Due to its calming and soothing effects, chamomile oil is particularly beneficial for sensitive skin.
Bio-Oil has also been clinically proven to help with scars as a result of surgery, accidents, burns, insect bites, scratches or chickenpox, and stretch marks from pregnancy or periods of rapid weight gain or loss.
Built into a daily skin care routine, Bio-Oil can be applied all over the body, including the face. For best results, it should be applied twice daily for a minimum of three months.
