• When consumers exercise their cancellation rights, the trader must reimburse any amount paid by the consumer within a maximum period of 30 days.

• The European Consumer Centres provide information on cross-border purchases and help consumers with any complaints they may have with traders operating from another member state.

• Consumers have two years to request a free remedy when goods purchased do not conform with the description and specifications in the contract of sale.

• Commercial guarantees must provide additional benefits to consumers and should not adversely affect the legal remedies available to consumers.
