BUGEJA. On June 5th, at Gozo General Hospital, MARIA, aged 82, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Fr George Bugeja OFM, Mario and his wife Antoinette, Anton and his wife Giovanna, Franġisk and his wife Carmen, Giovann and his wife Olivia, her beloved grandchildren, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital at 3pm tomorrow. Mass will be said præsente cadavere at 3.30 pm at the Xagħra Basilica followed by a private interment at Xagħra Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
DEMANUELE. On June 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Angela, his daughter Sharon and her husband Khaled Al Gededi, his grandchildren Adam and Yasmin, his sisters and brother and their spouses, his wifes’s family, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 8.30am tomorrow for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am followed by interment at Żebbuġ Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MAGRO. On June 5, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, FRANCES, née Tabone, of Żejtun, aged 96, widow of Carmelo, passed away peacefully to meet the risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Pauline and her husband Victor Mifsud, Maria and her husband Theo Salafia, Joe and his wife Doreen, Albert and his wife Corinne, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 3pm for St Gregory parish church, Żejtun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at St Gregory cemetery, Żejtun. No flowers by request, but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

Thatcher’s legacy
A public discussion on Margaret Thatcher’s legacy in Europe will be held tomorrow at 9.30am at Europe House, St Paul Street, Valletta
Henry Frendo, Michael Briguglio, Peter Mayo, Alfred Mifsud and Sammy Meilaq will take part in the debate chaired by Michael Grech and organised by Żminijietna – Voice of the Left.
The debate will be in Maltese.
Those attending have to produce an identity document.
