A peer learning activity to explore good examples of policies and practices in validation, guidance and the use of indicators to quality in adult learning was recently held in Malta as part of the work programme of the Thematic Working Group on Quality in Adult Learning.
Thirty-eight participants from 15 countries, including members of the working group, experts and policymakers/stakeholders from Malta attended the activity, which was hosted by the Education Ministry’s Directorate for Lifelong Learning. The directorate offers a range of over 400 courses aimed at adult learners covering all the eight key competencies for lifelong learning. Some of the courses are offered as a second chance in education while others focus on basic skills for adult learners.
