The Hi-Impact Table Tennis (HiTT) Academy is headed by Malta champion Mario Genovese whose name has now become synonymous with the game in the local scene.

The academy focuses mainly on achieving results and includes a functional programme revolving around the basic needs of core table tennis players, from beginner to advanced levels.

“The aim is to make the new players feel an instant motivation and inspiration by joining the HiTT team which is composed of coaches and players with a different dynamic perspective,” Genovese, who played professionally in Sweden, Denmark and the UK, said.

Only a few weeks after its inception, HiTT has brought over coach Zeljko Dimitrijevic from Serbia to form part of the technical team.

He will be here up to June 10 and running the programme while Genovese, who doubles as Malta coach, has to be abroad with the national team.

Dimitrijevic has extensive experience in coaching some of the most talented juniors in his country, particularly the ones from the central region.

Last year, he also collaborated closely with the Malta Table Tennis Association (MTTA) to help prepare the junior national team players for international tournaments.

One may obtain more details on the academy through face-book or by sending an email at info@hittmalta.com.
