Former Justice Minister Chris Said has submitted his nomination for the election of general secretary of the Nationalist Party.

His is the only nomination so far.

He told The Sunday Times last month that he wanted to reorganise the party and begin a reaching out process, starting with party members and sectional committees and moving on to civil society and the rest of the country.

Dr Said said he had the necessary energy and dedication for the job.

The election will be held by the members of the party executive on June 5.

Incumbent Paul Borg Olivier is not seeking re-election.
