Tax refunds given by the government in the first two months of this year were sharply down on the same period last year.

Information given in parliament by Finance Minister Edward Scicluna shows that refunds given this year amounted to €885,510, compared to €9 million in the first two months of 2012.  Refunds in the first two months of 2011 amounted to 530,062.
