A consultation meeting will be held on June 5 – World Environment Day – to discuss the state of trees in Malta and what can be done to improve the situation, Environment Minister Leo Brincat said.

Speaking during a meeting with the Local Councils Association, said three priorities of his ministry are to identify more sites for the recreation of families, better waste management, and better coordination in the protection of trees.

Mr Brincat invited the association to make proposals on all three priorities.
