BORG. On May 15, CHARLES, from Sliema and residing at Żurrieq, aged 57, passed away peacefully at Mount Carmel Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss Joyce, his children Michelle and Pierre and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mount Carmel Hospital tomorrow at 8am for St Francis parish church, Qawra, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Ħniena Divina Cemetery, St. Paul’s Bay. Donations to Puttinu Cares will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

SCHEMBRI. On May 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA of Floriana, widow of Emanuel, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joseph, Doris, Carmen, Antoinette, Marisa, Leslie and Edward and their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30am for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SPITERI. On May 10, in London, EDWIGE, née Portanier, aged 66. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Freddie, her daughters Amanda, Bianca and their families, her brother Lino Portanier, relatives and friends in Malta and UK. The funeral will be held in London. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

AQUILINA. In ever treasured and unfading memory of YOLANDA, a most beloved mother and grandmother, on the sixth anniversary of her death. Sadly missed by her daughter Alice and her husband Pierre Farrugia, granddaughters Emma and Paula, relatives and friends. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said at St Augustine church, Rabat, today at 6 p.m.
