The government is to stabilise the rocks near Ghar Lapsi by using rock nets and rock bolts, Infrastructure Minister Joe Mizzi said.

Replying to questions in parliament, he said a danger of falling rocks existed in a substantial part of the coastline near Ghar Lapsi and action would be taken in hand immediately to avert the danger in the most popular bathing area.

A large section of the cliff face collapsed in November 2011, fortunately injuring no one.

The minister was replying to questions by Nationalist MP Ryan Callus.
