• A bazaar in aid of Fatima Sanctuary in Guardamangia is being held at the parish centre until next Sunday from 9.30am to noon and from 2.30 to 7pm. Brand new items will be selling at bargain prices.

• YWCA (Malta) will be holding its monthly tea card party on Wednesday at the Plaza Hotel, Sliema, at 4.30pm. Members and guests are welcome. For bookings, call 2132 4424 or 7925 2296.

• Caritas Co-Operators will be spending a day on Wednesday at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian’s. The day will start at 10.30am with coffee and tea, followed by a talk by Bernard Grech at 11am, Mass at noon and lunch at 1pm. Cards may be played in the afternoon. • On the 20th anniversary of the founding of the first Youth Section in Mqabba, the Youths Section within Our Lady of the Lily Band Club of Mqabba is holding a dinner on Saturday at 7.30pm under a large tent in the village’s main square.

The menu will consist of a three-course meal, costing €20 for adults and €7 for children. Singer Ludwig Galea will entertain the guests. T-Shirts and other souvenirs related to the feast of Our Lady will be on sale.

The Eurovision Song Contest final in Sweden will be streamed live on big screen. The highlight of the event will be the launch of the Youth Section’s official song by Galea and Debbie Scerri. For bookings, call 7953 9542 or visit www.talgilju.com.

• To mark the anniversary birth of the legendary minstrel Al Jolson, the Malta branch of the International Al Jolson Society is holding its annual buffet lunch at a four-star hotel in Sliema next Sunday.

• Hospice Malta is holding its annual general meeting on May 20 at 6pm at 39, Good Shepherd Avenue, Balzan.

• The St Joseph School Past Pupils’ Association (Sliema) will be holding a celebration of the Eucharist together with the crowning of Our Lady at the chapel of St Joseph School, Sliema, on May 24 at 6.30pm.

• The community of the Dominican Sisters of Main Street, Naxxar, is organising a bazaar in aid of the restoration of the chapel adjacent to their convent between June 10 and 20 between 8.30am and 12.30pm and from 4 to 7pm.

• The Our Lady of the Lily Band Club of Mqabba will be playing on the occasion of the titular feast of the Annunciation in Tarxien on June 1, eve of the feast. At 7.30pm, the band will make its way through the main streets of Tarxien playing popular band marches from its repertoire.
