Mazars Malta recently held its annual training day for employees and student trainees at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St, Julian’s.

Managing partner Anthony Attard kicked off the training by delivering a brief overview of the milestones achieved throughout 2012.

This was followed by ‘technical breakout’ sessions, whereby, contrary to previous years, partners were this time on the listening end together with other members of staff, while managers and senior auditors delivered their presentations on various technical topics relating to tax, assurance and accounting.

The afternoon session focused on soft skills training through practical exercises and a presentation revolving around the theme of emotional intelligence at the workplace, delivered by psychologist Patrick Psaila, who is executive director at Think Talent Ltd.

Partner Paul Giglio expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the event. He said Mazars Malta treated the professional development of its employees as a priority and allocated all the required resources to this end on an ongoing basis.

“At Mazars Malta, we do not consider continuous professional development as simply a means to an end but as a comprehensive mindset within our corporate culture, around which our team and, consequently, our business, evolves and grows further,” he added.
