A chamber music concert will be held today to celebrate Mother’s day. The concert is being performed by the Kalypso String Quartet at the Music Room, St James Cavalier, Valletta, at 7.30pm.

The ensemble will perform some of the most beautiful pages from the string quartet repertoire, with a dose of Maltese contemporary music.

The Kalypso String Quartet is made up of Klara Nazaj and Giulia Tavano on violins, Ina Georgieva on viola and Akos Kertesz on cello. They are all musicians in the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and have performed widely abroad and in illustrious festivals in Malta.
