The Nationalist Party’s youth section has welcomed the proposed change to the party’s statute for the PN to have two deputy leaders - one responsible for party, the other for parliamentary affairs.

In a statement, the Moviment Żgħażagħ Partit Nazzjonalista, said this decision would strengthen and the party’s work and provide more focus.

It was a decision which also reflected the party’s vision as a European party since the administration of most parties in Europe followed this system.

The movement also congratulated new party leader Simon Busuttil and said it was eager to work with him closely with enthusiasm and determination for the party to once again become the country’s biggest political force and the natural choice of Maltese and Gozitan youth.
