Gianluca is off to Malmo as Eurovision beckons

Malta's Eurovision hopeful Gianluca Bezzina had left for Malmo for final preparations ahead of his participation in the second semi-final on Thursday week.

Despite displaying his characteristic smile, he admitted to being nervous, although he said he was nervous 'in a good way' since this was what he had been waiting for.

Seventeen countries will be represented in the two semi-finals. Ten qualify from each. The final will be held on the following Saturday.

"There is some stiff competition but I feel confident," the doctor, adding that both semi-final groups were evenly balanced.
