Former Judge Ray Pace has been found dead.

The police are investigating the circumstances of his death, but no one else is believed to have been involved.

Judge Pace, 54, resigned from the Bench after he was accused of bribery. He was married, with three children.

Justice parliamentary secretary Owen Bonnici offered his condolences to Dr Pace’s family. “This tragic affair just goes to show how delicate and sensitive a matter justice is – in this case a matter of life or death. My thoughts right now are with his family,” Dr Bonnici said.
